Alan J. Wills joined Auxilium in October 2010 as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. Since August 2009, Alan was Vice President, Worldwide Strategy at Pfizer, Inc, where he was responsible for corporate strategic planning and other cross-business unit strategic initiatives.
Before joining Pfizer, Alan was Vice President Corporate Strategy at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was responsible for creating their next-generation biopharmaceutical strategy. He also had responsibility for R&D portfolio management and global pricing of new products.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Strategy for United Behavioral Health, a division of United HealthCare. Before that he was Vice President, Strategy, Business Development and Marketing for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford Medical Center, where he led the "Children's Health Initiative", a strategy to create the premier children's health service on the west coast.
Prior to that he worked for many years for the Boston Consulting Group, first in London and subsequently in San Francisco.
Alan earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Oxford, UK and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
